If you are a first-time reader, welcome to Lora and Erics RV Adventure Blog. You can read about us at http://www.LoraandEricsRVAdventure.com. We started our Full time adventure with the purchase of our 2018 Grand Design Reflection 315RLTS.

We call this blog post "Our Adventure Begins..." because if you are caught up on the previous posts we hovered between North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia since December 27, 2017 breaking in the new 2018 Grand Design Reflection. In the past 2 weeks we got to see our granddaughter Samantha's first full production play "The Little Mermaid" at the Imperial Center in Rocky Mount. She was a guppy in the production.

We also spent time taking our grandson Landon at Sycamore Lodge, North Carolina for 2 nights.

Then Briarcliffe RV Resort, South Carolina for 3 nights.

We also had a chance to take Landon on a helicopter ride over Myrtle Beach.

Now we are hitting the road. Our goal is to hit 49 states before heading back to North Carolina. We have no time table.

We headed South to Oaks @ Point South RV Resort, 1292 Campground Rd, Yemassee, SC 29945. Our reservation is for March 13 - 15. It was a mid point (191 miles) from Briarcliffe RV Resort, Myrtle Beach and our Florida destination. We had already visited Georgia with the new RV so we had already had the sticker on the USA map. The campground is just off Hwy 95 about 30 miles from the GA boarder.

Oaks @ Point South RV is an ok campground. Some permanent campers, but most look to be short term campers. There is a really nice lake behind the campground you can walk around. On the opposite site of the lake is a KOA.

Lora and I have never been to Hilton Head, NC. We were so disappointed. First you have to pay a toll to get into Hilton Head and get out. We had mapped out a light house we wanted to visit. We did not know we had to drive into a resort property to see it. Cost to get into the resort was $5.00

The resort was packed with people. We made it to the light house and was extremely disappointed. The parking lot was full and there was no other parking nearby. The light house had sponsors on the side. So sad. We drove back out of Hilton Head and headed to Savannah, GA

Savannah, Georgia was also packed. A big truck, our "Rolling Paradise", is not friendly to driving on narrow streets. We stopped at the visitors center in Savannah. We drove south to Old Fort Jackson. It is the oldest standing brick fort in Georgia. Old Fort Jackson is a National Historic Landmark offering daily cannon firings. We had timed it just right to see the cannon firing after a walk through the fort.

Our next attraction was to Oatland Island Wildlife Center of Savannah. The Wildlife Center is a non-profit organization. The property was originally a retirement home for locomotive engineers. It also served as a hospital for woman and children. There is a small fee to visit the center. The walk is about 2 miles.

After visiting the Wildlife Center we headed back to The Oaks @ Point South RV Resort. The next day we headed to Florida.
