If you are a first-time reader, welcome to Lora and Erics RV Adventure Blog. You can read about us at http://www.LoraandEricsRVAdventure.com. We started in December 2017 with a goal to complete 49 states before heading home to North Carolina.

Due to limited access to internet service and Verizon Hotspot in Canada and Alaska we will be adding photos as we can. In the mean time we will continue to provide our RV adventure at each phase of our RV adventure in text.

The weather is definitely changing. We awake to the mid 20°F. The campground has switched to it winter operation. 90% of the sites are shut down, bathrooms and showers in the center of the campground is shutdown. The only facilities is in the office building.

I walk to the front desk to ask if they will be open in April. They say yes on a limited basis. Fuel will not be an issue according to the front desk clerk.

Our goal is get as much driving in as possible. On our last visit to Tok, AK we arrived from Kluane Lake DC1024 1624 km Gravel Turnout . The time and distance was 4 h 27 min 361 Kilometers (224 miles).

Haines Junction, YT is the first potential stop over. We are making decent time and feeling good. Our mindset has changed from having fun, living a dream to a mission to get back home.

We start to locate campgrounds after Haines Junction, YT. We only have cell phone activity when passing through towns and cities.

We settle on High Country RV Park in Yukon Territory. Whitehorse is the Northwest Capital YT. The distance and time from Tok RV Village & Cabins in Tok, AK to Hi Country RV Park in YT, CA is 388 miles (7 h 19 min). Pulling the RV adds about 1 hour to the route.

We stop at Walmart in Whitehorse and liqueur store for beer and wine before heading to the campground.

The campground has very tight sites and not long enough to keep the truck hooked up. After unhooking. There are a few sites we could have stay connected, but it was a challenge just to get into ours, we gave up and unhooked.

In the morning I drive downtown to pick up some breakfast at Baked Cafe & Bakery. The bakery has a nice assortment of pastries and specialty coffee. There is a line which is a good sign the establishment is well received in the city. The croissants and filled pastries are all very fresh and tasty.

Our goal today is to reach Liard Hot Springs.
