If you are a first-time reader, welcome to Lora and Erics RV Adventure Blog. You can read about us at http://www.LoraandEricsRVAdventure.com. We started in December 2017 with a goal to complete 49 states before heading home to North Carolina.
Due to limited access to internet service and Verizon Hotspot in Canada and Alaska we will be adding photos as we can. In the mean time we will continue to provide our RV adventure at each phase of our RV adventure in text.
Lora and I check out the cabins through the windows. The previous evening I spoke with the office manager and he mentioned they charge $70.00 Canadian for lodging. The lodges are 12' x 12' with a bed, table and chair. There is a front porch with a plastic chair. Very basic and people will pay for it. We leave for our next destination after we have breakfast Liard Hot Springs Lodge.
As soon as we pull out of the parking lot we see a hitch hiker on the side of the road. Without much hesitation I pull over and offer him a ride. The ALCAN Highway is the only road for the next 1000 kilometers. We place his pack into the camper and make an opening for him in the back seat. Our new guest's name is from past memory is Martel, but could be different with his accent.
Martel is a 25 year old college student. He traveled from Germany to Anchorage, AK for hike Canada and Alaska for 2 months. He is hiking back to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to catch a plane back to Germany in less than 10 days.
We are headed to Triple G Hideaway RV Park and Campground in Fort Nelson, BC, CA. We stayed there on Canada Day in July. The time and distance from Liard Hot Springs Lodge to Triple G Hideaway RV Park and Campground in Fort Nelson, BC, CA is 3h 53m (304 km (189 miles))

Almost immediately we spotted Ram, Caribou, and Buffalo along the ALCAN Highway.
Liard Hot Springs is the beginning of the Northern Rockies coming from the western slopes. We are in the mist of fall colors and the temperature is hovering in the low to mid 30°F. The radio is talking about snow tomorrow. The new company is a wonderful change. We are exchange stories, perceptions, and opinions.
As we approach our destination we there are spots of snow along the highway.
When we reach Fort Nelson we fuel up in town. We drop off Martel at the gas station and say our good byes. I take a photo of Martel and Lora.
Lora and I head over to Triple G Hideaway RV Park and Campground and check in. The Auroa Borealis is expected to be showing this evening. We retire to bed early. I wake up sometime during the evening and walk across the street to install a camera to capture the night colors. Unfortunately I do not capture the light due to an issue with me starting the time-lapse.
Snow is expected to fall starting tomorrow morning. When we get up there is no snow falling. We planned to stay put if there was snow falling.
Today we head to Dawson Creek, British Columbia, Canada and the end of the ACAN Highway in reverse.
